Welcome
to St. Clement's
Roman Catholic Church...
Staffed by the Redemptorists
since 1917
In the name of our entire Parish Staff
and all our parishioners, I welcome you to the parish website.
Here at St. Clement’s, we strive to
worship together, love one another and offer ourselves in
genuine Christian Service.
We pray that our love and desire to serve will
flow into the wider community.
You will notice that St. Clement’s has
been staffed by the Redemptorist Community since its founding in
1917.
The Redemptorists are a religious congregation founded by
St. Alphonsus Liguori in Naples, Italy on November 9, 1732
to evangelize both the
marginalized people in the city of Naples and also the goat
herders in the countryside.
In 1832, 100 years after their Congregation was
founded, six members sailed from Europe to the United States at
the request of the American bishops. They initially worked with
American Indians. The Redemptorists soon expanded their ministry
to include other marginalized people, namely, Irish, German, and Slavik immigrants. They ministered to the needs of these people
and opened parishes and schools for them frequently emphasizing
the teaching of English which was often completely or only
poorly known by these immigrant populations.
We priests, who serve you here, strive to
live in the fellowship of religious vows and hope that spirit
contributes to St. Clement’s special character.
Finally, if myself or anyone on the
parish staff can be of any help to you, please feel free to call
or email any of us. We
are always available to assist you in every way
possible.
I pray that God will bless you and your
loved ones.
Once again, welcome to our faith community and may
the peace of the Lord be with you always!
