Our Lady of Perpetual Help This image, OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP, is the most widely recognized icon in the world. It depicts Mary comforting the infant Jesus as angels show him the instruments of the crucifixion. In 1866 Pope Pius IX entrusted this icon to the Redemptorists, asking them to “make her known throughout the world.”  Learn more.
